The terms that apply when you use EveryManKnows: general information about practical skills, not professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
What this is
EveryManKnows is a set of short guides, self-checks and checklists for practical skills. These guides are general information, not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. In an emergency call your local emergency number, 911 in the US. The first aid pages are refreshers, not training or certification: take a certified class. Every riskier skill lists when to stop and call a professional, and you agree to follow that line. The skills passport records what you marked in your browser; it is not a qualification.
The content
The guides, quizzes, drawings and checklists are EveryManKnows's own work, written from general guidance that each page names by a generic description with the date it was last checked. Guidance changes and situations differ. If anything here disagrees with a professional who can see your situation, with the maker's instructions for your product, or with current official guidance, follow them. EveryManKnows is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by any government agency, health body, safety council, publisher, school or brand.
What is free
Every skill guide and every quiz, including all safety and health content, today's skill, the checklist and the category pages are free with no account and stay that way. In this build everything else is free too. Nothing on the free list will be moved behind a payment.
No account, and your progress
There is nothing to sign up for. Anything the site remembers is stored by your own browser on your own device, which means it can be cleared by you at any time, cannot be recovered by us, and does not follow you to another device unless you export and import it.
Refunds
Not happy with a purchase? Email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com within 14 days of a first purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal, and we will refund it. Send the message from the email address you used at checkout, and include:
- the email address used at checkout (if you are writing from a different address)
- your access code, shown on the Premium page while you are subscribed on the browser you purchased from
- roughly when you purchased, and which plan (yearly or lifetime)
- the last 4 digits of the card, if you have the receipt handy
That is everything needed to find the purchase and process the refund. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have.
Acceptable use
Use the site for learning, including printing checklists for yourself, your family or a class you teach. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people, and do not present its guides or drawings as your own work.
Warranty and liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, EveryManKnows is not liable for any loss or injury arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything on it. You are responsible for judging whether a task is safe for you to do, and for calling a professional when a page says to. In an emergency, call your local emergency number, 911 in the US.
Contact
Questions, or a report that a step, a number or an answer is wrong, go to the support address in the footer. A guide that disagrees with current official guidance is a defect and gets fixed.
